Welcome to "The Ceruti Site"
This is Monica
Monica was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is the daughter of the late Chief Petty Officer (retired) Peola and Virgie Allison. As a military dependent, she traveled extensively with her family. She graduated from Terry Parker Senior High School, Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Grambling State University, Grambling, Louisiana. While at Grambling, she joined the Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps. Between her junior and senior year at Grambling, she traveled to and studied in Mexico. After graduation from Grambling, she was commissioned a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force (USAF). She then entered the University of Georgia School of Law. After completing law school, she entered onto active duty and was assigned to the Judge Advocate General Department, USAF. She also holds an MS degree in International Relations and one in Information Systems Management.
After graduating law school, her first assignment was at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, followed by Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, and Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, where she married Frank. (He flew to South Carolina to meet her when she arrived from Germany.) In 1986, she left active duty and joined Frank, (they had been long distance commuting via Continental Airlines). She passed the local state bar exam and has been practicing law there ever since.
She is involved in her community. She is a member of the Catholic Church. She volunteers for the Boys and Girls Club's programs, participates in career day at numerous schools, has financed a high school student's tour of historically black colleges and universities, raised funds for economically challenged girl scouts, and was instrumental in establishing an educational fund for the local chapter of her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She is a former runner, now jogger; she completed both the Berlin Marathon and the Bill Rodgers' Half-Marathon in 1984. Also, in 1984, she was the second American to cross the finish line in "Challenge Schongzental 1984," a 10K race in Ettlebruck, Luxembourg, for which the Light Athletics Club awarded her a trophy, an athletic bag and two bottles of French wine! She is an avid reader, loves the arts, traveling, genealogical research, and people.
Most importantly, she is a Christian and a devoted mother.
